Bowen Therapy

A Gentler Approach to Healing

Bowen Therapy

What is Bowen therapy?

Bowen therapy involves gentle moves over the fascia — the soft tissue that covers all your muscles and organs — to help promote pain relief.

Specifically, this form of therapy uses precise and gentle, rolling hand movements. These motions focus on the muscles, tendons, and ligaments, along with the fascia and skin around them. The idea is to reduce pain by stimulating the nervous system.

What's involved

Bowen can be used to treat muscular-skeletal or related neurological problems including acute injuries and chronic or organic conditions.

Instead of non-stop input, like a massage, Bowen uses a series of purposeful gently moves that gives the body clear instructions to heal and re-balance problem areas.

The Bowen technique supports your bodies nervous system by shifting from “fight and flight” response to “rest and digest” mode.

Your body will continue to make adjustments 7-10 days after your treatment.

You can also have the treatment through light clothing!
